This ADTRAN fiber MUX delivers from one to three DS3 circuits from a single OC-3 feed. Designed to meet the growing demand for DS3 deployment in today's economy the Total Access OPTI-3 eliminates the need for expensive SONET multiplexer equipment in terminal mode applications and provides the fullest use of the OC-3 capacity. Additionally it can be used for DS3 range extension applications that deploy DS3 in the network backbone or directly to end-user customer premises.The Total Access OPTI-3 is interoperable with other SONET devices complying with GR-253 for easy deployment in new and existing SONET networks. It comes in two configurations: wallmount and rackmount.
